A Carbon-Neutral, Emission-Free, Particle Accelerator for Ion Beam Analysis

Dr. Dan Faircloth is a Senior Research Engineer and the Low Energy Beams Group Leader at ISIS, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Oxfordshire, UK http://faircloth.info.  We were recently discussing efforts that could be made to reduce the power consumption and other consumable needs of particle accelerators.  Whilst doing so, Dan mentioned that he and collaborators Dr. Olli Tarvainen, Dr. Taneli Kalvas, and Dr. Ville Toivanen are developing such a particle accelerator for Ion beam Analysis. I asked Dan whether he would be willing to share a presentation regarding this technology development for me to share herein, and he agreed!
